We help you find your next world.

With The Metaverse is an education and discovery site for games, virtual worlds and the devices that take you there. Since 2022 we’ve covered Roblox, Fortnite, browser games, VR and AR headsets, and the ideas behind the metaverse, in plain English.

What we cover

• Games & virtual worlds: what to play, how it works and what’s next.
• Devices & gear: headsets, glasses and accessories, with honest trade-offs.
• Explainer guides: the basics, for people who are new to all of this.

How we work

Our editorial team researches every story and checks it against sources before it goes up. We sometimes use AI tools to help with research, first drafts and illustrations. A person reviews and edits every article before it’s published, and we update older guides when things change.

Most illustrations on this site are AI-generated and are not photos of real products or events unless a caption says so.

Advertising

The site is free to read and supported by ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisers don’t influence what we write. See our privacy policy for how ads use cookies.
